  Can switch to the free included 4G when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

• Gratuity

  Can allow the customer to select and leave a tip amount.

• Bill Splitting

  SumUp Terminal does not currently allow a transaction to be paid using multiple cards (coming soon).

• Receipts

  Can print paper receipts. Also supports email receipts.

• Mail/Telephone Orders (Manual Entry)

  SumUp can take payments by manually entering the customer's card details, however you must apply for it separately and provide documentation.

• Dynamic Currency Conversion

  SumUp does not offer foreign customers the option to pay in their local currency or GBP with exchange rates displayed.

• Pre-Authorisations

  SumUp does not offer functionality to hold funds on a customer's card to charge or release in the future.

• Referenced Refunds

  Can reverse a charge previously processed by finding it in the transaction list.

• Unreferenced Refunds

  SumUp can not issue refunds if you can't find the original transaction in the transaction list.

• End of Day Report

  With SumUp, a report can be generated from your online account, but not printed from the card machine.

• Cashback

  SumUp has no option to add an additional amount to enable a customer to pay for cash from the business's till.

SUMUP PLANS

• SumUp offers two pricing plans, their standard plan and a "plus" plan with slightly lower fees for higher-volume businsses.

• PAYMENTS STANDARD PLAN

  1.69% fixed rate

  The basic, free-to-join plan, has no monthly fee and a simple transaction fee of 1.69% for all cards.

  PAYMENTS PLUS PLAN

  £19/mo + 0.99% fixed rate

  This plan includes a monthly fee with transaction fees lower than the standard plan.

  American Express, business & international cards have a rate of 1.99%.

• OTHER ACCOUNT fees:

• Setup - £0

  No additional fees for setup of the account.

• PCI Compliance - £0/mo

  No additional fees for compliance with the PCI standards.

• Gateway - £0/mo

  No additional fees for taking payments via the internet.

• ACCOUNT FEATURES:

• Mobile Application

  SumUp has an iOS and Android app for managing your account.

• Tap to Pay on Phone

  SumUp supports supports Tap to Pay on both iPhone and Android.

• Payment Links

  Can generate links to share with customers for paying online.

• Virtual Terminal

  SumUp does offer a facility for taking payments by manually entering the customer's card details into a website, however you must apply for it separately and provide documentation.

• API & Website Integration

  Can be integrated into your website for taking online payments for an additional transaction fee.

• Next-Day Payouts

  SumUp pays your takings the next day, however it is paid into a business account at SumUp, not your own bank account.

• Free Trial Period

  SumUp does not offer a trial period or returns policy. Only the legal requirement of a 14 days return period, where the product must be returned unopened,.

• Full Settlement

  SumUp deducts fees from your takings before transferring them to you. This can make it challenging to understand your transaction costs, as your bank account will only show the net amount.

• Merchant Cash Advance

  SumUp offers access to a merchant cash advance which is automatically repaid using a percentage of your daily payouts.
